TREVOR JAY WIGEN

On April 15^th, 2023, Trevor Jay Wigen of Finley, ND passed away after a long battle with brain cancer at 44 years old surrounded by his family.

Trevor Jay Wigen was born on December 5^th, 1978, in Mayville, ND. He graduated from Finley-Sharon high school in 1997. He went on to attend lineman school in Bismarck, ND.  Trevor ended up following his passion of farming, which he did with his father until 2019.  He was a long-time member of the Finley Fire department. After farming Trevor briefly worked for Sheyenne Tooling until he was unable to work any longer.

Trevor married Emily Halverson on December 7^th, 2013, on a beach in Florida. They welcomed their son Jared in 2014. Trevor enjoyed farming, music, karaoke, football, hunting, guns and reloading. His unique humor and jokes made him loveable and memorable for everyone who met him.

Trevor is survived his wife Emily Wigen; son Jared Wigen (8); his parents Jeff Wigen of Finley, ND, Tammy (Clyde) Roers of Fergus Falls, MN; and siblings Tifini (Gary Heard) Sprung of West Fargo, ND, Mallory (Mike) Towle of Watertown, SD. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Orlando & Ila Mae Wigen, Dennis and LaDean Deknikker, and cousin Jared Saltness.

A visitation for Trevor Wigen is scheduled for Sunday April 23^rd from 5pm to 7pm at the Finley Lutheran church. A service will be held Monday April 24^th at 11 am at the Finley Lutheran church. It will be immediately followed by a lunch and celebration of life at the Finley legion.
