THADDEUS A. SIMMONS
Thaddeus Antwone Simmons left this earthly home on Wednesday, February 1st.
Thaddeus (Tiger) was born on September 3, 1972 in Fort Pierce, FL to the late Johnnie Lee Simmons and Annie Simmons. Thaddeus received his early education in St. Lucie County School System and continued his higher education in New Lenox School District, IL. Thaddeus moved to North Dakota in early 2008 to help his brother complete a roof on a church. He then made Grand Forks his home.
Thaddeus married Emily Kunze on August, 15, 2015. They made their home in Devil’s Lake, ND, with their beloved dogs, Louie and Stella. He rarely left the house without his dogs. Thaddeus worked for the Pipeline and Operators Union throughout his time in ND. He was proud of his daughters and could often be heard bragging about their accomplishments.
Thaddeus enjoyed fishing, spending time on the lake, helping on the farm, riding snowmobile, and cracking jokes. He was happiest while playing and clowning around with the kids. He will be remembered for his fun-loving attitude, stellar dance moves, infectious laugh, and his give-the-shirt-off-his-back nature. To know Tiger was to love Tiger.
Thaddeus’s memory will continue to live in the hearts of his wife, Emily Simmons, Devils Lake, ND; daughters A’Nyah Simmons, Mesquite, TX; Kiyanna Strand, Grand Forks, ND; his beloved dogs, Louie and Stella; his mother Annie Simmons, Ft.
