Scott Willard Fredrickson, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Dakota Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Scott was born on September 5, 1951 in Oak Park, Illinois to Willard and Mildred Fredrickson. He attended public school and received training in carpentry after graduation. He met Carol Langford in 1972 and they married on September 27, 1975. Scott and Carol moved to Cooperstown in 1985 to takeover the Langford farm and begin his carpentry business.

Scott was actively involved in his church, serving as a trustee, elder, Sunday school teacher, and Awana leader. He also served on the board of the Cooperstown Bible Camp. He enjoyed singing in the church quartet, riding motorcycle and snowmobile, and reading his Bible. He was well known for his meticulous carpentry skills and has left his fingerprint on many of the buildings in Cooperstown and surrounding areas.

He is survived by his wife Carol, son Joel (Brooke) Fredrickson of Cooperstown, daughter Amy (Dusty) Benson of Sheyenne, ND; brother Dale (Linda) Fredrickson of Niles, IL; sister Karen (David) Schafer of Des Plaines, IL; and grandchildren, Tucker and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Fredrickson; mother, Mildred Larson; and stepfather, Sven Larson; and three brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND.  Visitation will continue Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 9:00 to 10:00 am in Cornerstone Community Church, Cooperstown, ND followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow in the Cooperstown Cemetery, rural Cooperstown, ND.
