RUTH DAHL

Ruth Arlene Dahl July 17, 1933 – January 20, 2022 Ruth Arlene Dahl, age 88, of Hannaford, ND passed away at 1 a.m. January 20, 2022 at Cooperstown Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. Ruth was born July 17, 1933 to Carl and Elsie Haugen. She married Alvin R. Dahl on September 7, 1952. Ruth, an active member of Union Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, was often the first to arrive and the last to leave. Loved by many in the community, she was always there to help. Everyone treasured her hugs and letters. She never forgot a birthday. Ruth loved to bake, dance, spend time with her loving family, and share coffee and cookies with her many friends. Ruth is survived by her children: Alton (Debbie) Dahl, Darlene (Patrick Furnari) Dahl, Linda (Tim) Nelson, Ardis (Roy) Palm, Steven (Marcia Hetland) Dahl, her daughter-in-law Karen Dahl, her grandchildren: Matthew (Lisa) Dahl, Stephanie (Casey) Skjeret, Timothy Dahl, Patrick (Kristen) Legro, Cody Legro, Michael (Brandy) Nelson, Travis Palm, Brandon Palm, Brittanie Dahl, Jacey Grant, and Jake Dahl, her great grandchildren: Macy Skjeret, Cash Skjeret, Lincoln Dahl, Colin Legro, Emilia Rae Legro, Jaxen Nelson, Aubree Nelson, Grayson Palm, Hayden Palm, Ruth Mannetter, Daniel Mannetter, Connor Grant, and Trinity Grant, her brother Leeland (Beverly) Haugen, and her sister-in-law Carolyn Haugen along with many loving nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin, their son, Wayne L. Dahl, her baby sister Ruth, and her brothers: Elverne, Merle, and Curtis Haugen.
