ROSE MAREI RUBASH

Rose Marie (Olson) Rubash 85, of Hope ND died Tuesday March 28, 2023 at the Hillsboro Medical Center Hillsboro, ND.

Rose was born October 14, 1937 in Montevideo, MN the daughter of Maurice and Francis Olson.  She grew up and attended school in Warren MN.  Rose later moved to Grand Forks ND.  Rose married Duaine N Rubash February 20, 2000 in Jefferson, IA.  Rose worked various jobs throughout her life but her favorite was riding in the semi-truck with Duaine. 

The couple later moved to a farm near Hope, ND. Rose moved to Fargo, ND for a period of time and then back to an apartment in Hope, ND where she enjoyed the occasional golf cart ride to see the kids at the swimming pool or stopping by the daycare to watch the kids play outside.  Rose enjoyed her trips to the local grocery store where she enjoyed visiting with whoever was there.  Rose always loved it when little kids would stop by for a visit and when the local churches would deliver holiday goodies.  

Rose is survived by brother Raymond Olson, Minneapolis MN; two sisters, Dora Hjulberg (Terrence ) Bloomington, MN; Mary Norgart ( Arnold) Jefferson, IA; step son Duaine Rubash Jr (Jenny) Cummings, ND; step daughter Lori Anderson, Fargo.  Sisters in law Glenda Rubash and Margarete Rubash both of Fargo, ND.  Several nieces and nephews and step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Duaine; her parents; and brother Dennis Olson.

A memorial Service will be held Tuesday April 25^, 2023 at 3:30pm at the Hillsboro Care Center Chapel, Hillsboro, ND.  Family request memorials be given to the Steele County Historical Society or Hospice of the RRV.
