ROBERT LESLIE

Robert (Bob) Leslie, 79, Northwood, ND died Friday, February 4, 2022 at his home.

Robert Duane Leslie was born Mother’s Day,  May 10^th 1942 to Alvin and Lillian (Haugen) Leslie in Sharon ND. He attended country school, New Bergen #1 until the 5^th grade,  Sharon Public school, and graduated from Finley High School in 1960.  He also attended NDSU for 2 years of winter short courses for farmers.

He lived on the home farm and joined his brother, Jerome, in the farm operation as the Leslie Brothers.  In 1976 he married Janet (Stenberg)Weigel.  Robert also operated Finley Machinery Sales with John Leininger for a short time.

He enjoyed farming and moved to Northwood ND where he worked for several farmers, as well as the bean plant.  In his retirement years he joyed visiting with friends and family,  and car rides in the country with his brother Curtis.

Preceding him in death are his parents, and step-son Darin Amundson

Left behind to mourn his loss are brothers Jerome (Karen) Leslie, Finley ND.  Curtis (Deborah) Leslie, Kindred ND; Step-children Jason Amundson, Sweden, and Angela Overby,  Cooperstown ND.  9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.  Nieces Pam (Leon) Montag, Allison (Mike) Molstre; Nephews Dale (Kristina) Leslie, Lynn (Tina) Leslie,  Nathan (Ashley) Leslie, Several great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND.  There will be  A graveside service May 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Ostervold Cemetery, rural Finley, ND.
