ROBERT IHRY

Robert (Bob) William Ihry, 84. Dilworth, MN (originally Hope ND) died March 22^nd, 2020 at Lilac Homes, Dilworth. Under hospice care with family at his side.

Bob was born December 15^th, 1935 in Hope ND, to John and Theresa (Gehrens) Ihry. He attended school in Luverne, ND until his junior year, finished in Hope ND. He attended Valley City for one semester to play football.

On February 13^th, 1961 he married Connie Mckay in Hope ND, they had three children Robin Lee, Heidi Marie and Mark William. Bob & Connie moved to Fargo in 1984, back to Hope in a few years then to West Fargo.

Bob could be found at all sporting events or at Hope lanes, which he ran for many years, and taught a lot of kids to bowl. In 1983, Bob took a job at Harwood post office and retired in the late 90’s. Bison sports was enjoyed especially football.

Bob was survived by daughters Robin (Ricky) Ihry, Fargo ND, Heidi Ihry, Fargo ND, grandsons Richard (Jade) Ihry, Fertile MN, Robert Ihry, Fargo ND, and two great-grandchildren Evelyn Hope and William Eric Ihry, sister Margaret (Fuglestad) Gunderson, Mayville ND, and sister-in-law Iris Ihry, Fargo ND.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Connie Ihry (2019), Son Mark William Ihry (1984), his parents John & Theresa, Brothers Leo, Elmer (Pete), Adolph, John, Ken, Sisters Edna Jacobson, and Marie Thompson.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10:00 am in St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope, ND.  Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery, Hope, ND.
