RICHARD (RICK) REITEN

Richard (Rick) Reiten, 78, Cooperstown, ND died Thursday, June 2, 2022 in the Griggs County Care Center from complications of Parkinson’s.

Rick was born June 10, 1943 to Edwin and Lillian (Hamre) Reiten.  He attended school in Cooperstown, NDSU and UND.  He married Addie Adrian in 1963 in Binford, ND.  Rick worked for his father until 1967 when he started his own successful manufacturing and repair business, Reiten Inc.

Rick was an avid hunter and competitive shooter,  He was inducted into the North Dakota Sports Association Hall of Fame.  He was a 40 year plus life member of both the NDSSA and NRA.  He still holds one state record for 100 yards set 1976 and is co-holder of another for 50 yards set in 1975.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and son Jeff.  He is survived his wife Addie; daughter, Kimberly; grandson Nicolas; daughter-in-law, Shari; sister, JoAnn (Morris) Saxrud and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Services will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND.
