REGINALD A. ALMKLOV

Reginald Allen Almklov “Reggie” age 72, Hannaford, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family and beloved Yorkie, Chasper and cat Charlotte. Reggie was born September 26, 1952 to Lou and Nickey Almklov in Cooperstown, ND. He grew up and attended school in Hannaford and Jamestown, ND. He enlisted into the US Army in August 1971 and served three years. He reenlisted in February 1975 and served four years. He was a sharpshooter and was stationed in Vietnam, Germany and California. 

He worked for BNSF from August 1978 to December 2007 when he went out on disability. During his railroad career, he was a track inspector, safety teacher, foreman and secretary/treasurer of The Brotherhood of Maintenance Way which he was a lifetime member of. 

Reggie enjoyed collecting coins, online shopping, playing cards, board games and outside yard games with his family. He also spent hours preparing and researching a family genealogy tree. He enjoyed watching wrestling, anything to do with history, Bar Rescue and How It’s Made. Above everything, Reggie’s favorite time was spent with his family. He was always at the children’s school events ready to snap pictures and videos.

Reggie will be forever missed by his wife of 22 years, Mariann, daughters; April Johnson (Dennis), Keisha Bye (Natalie), sons; Bobby Bye (Christol), Ryan Ring (Korrin Lies), Don (Kristi), Lloyd, Nathan (Devi) Almklov, Cory Almklov, Grandchildren, Austin Johnson (Shayla), Tyler Johnson(Shayla), Tanner, Braisen, Hailie, and Tucker Ring, Briana Bye, Great Grandchildren Ryder and Stetson Johnson, Brother Marc Almklov, Brothers in Law Neil Fliflet and Mickey Hook and special Friend Claude Armour along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Reggie is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Nancy Hook, brother Murky Almklov, son Michael Bye, Niece Lisa Landsiedel.

March 5, 2025 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Faith Lutheran Church, Hannaford, ND and one hour before the Funeral Service, which will be Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm the Church.
