Paul E. Rahlf, 78, Sutton, ND died Monday, June 25, 2018 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. 

Paul Eugene Rahlf was born April 12, 1940 near Binford, ND, the son of August and Clara (Leininger) Rahlf.  He grew up and attended rural school and graduated in 1958.  He served in the US Army.  He returned to the Sutton area.

He married Gail Bakke on September 1, 1978.  The couple made their home in the Sutton area where they farmed and milked cows.

He coached softball and umped many games at RWR. He enjoyed Roller Skating, Square Dancing, playing cards, Volleyball and Bowling. He also enjoyed making Buttermilk Pancakes for his neighbors and friends. In his later years he enjoyed the Barn Dance at Mayville and listening to Blue Grass Music.

He is survived by his wife Gail, Sutton, ND; son, Chris, Sutton, ND; Siblings; Darlene Dahl, Enderlin, ND, Ted Rahlf (Donna), Rochester, MN, and Augie Rahlf (Delores), Sutton, ND; Uncle, Keith Walter, The Dalles, Ore; brother-in-law, Cokey and many nieces, nephews, & cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents August & Clara Rahlf, daughter April Marie, sisters Elizabeth Saunders and Jo Conant, nephew Rick Saunders and brother-in-law Roger Dahl.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Binford, ND.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church.  A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 6:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery, rural Binford, ND.
