MARVIN LINDER

Marvin Elwood Linder, 88 years old, passed away February 6, 2018 at The Cottage at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND.

Marvin was born March 30, 1929 to Clarence and Anna (Jamtgaard) Linder at Coleharbor, ND. In 1932 the family moved to the Hannaford area.  In the depression year of 1936 they packed their belongings and headed west to Washington and later Oregon before moving back to the Hannaford area in 1939.

Marvin graduated from Hannaford High School, served in the army in Korea from 1954-56.   On May 29, 1956 he married Delores Grinager.  They farmed east of Walum for 61 years before moving to Bridgeview in Valley City in October of 2017.  In December Marvin entered the The Cottage.

Marvin loved the farm life, working in his shop doing his woodworking or just tinkering, collecting toys, going on drives and coffee time with his buddies.

Marvin is survived by his wife Delores, a son Keith of Hannaford and a daughter Denise (Kim) Amann of Dazey, grandsons Kody (Krista) Amann of Rogers and their children Parker, Addison, Camden and Braylee, and Dusty (Jenna) Amann of Hannaford and their children Rylee and Carson, a sister Judi Linder of Minneapolis, MN and two nieces and their families also Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walum, ND followed by a funeral at 1:00 pm in the church.  Interment will be in the St. Olaf Cemetery, Walum, ND.
