MARLYS J. JACOBSON

Marlys J. Jacobson, 80, Finley, ND died Sunday, January 5, 2020 in the Sanford Health Mayville, ND. 

Marlys was born February 25, 1939 in Hope, ND the daughter of Conrad and Winnifred (Baker) Johnson.  She grew up and attended school in Hope, graduating from Hope High School.    She worked in the Johnson Store after graduating. 

On January 20, 1961 she married Bill Jacobson of Finley, ND, they spent four years in Bottineau and then moved back to Finley in 1964.  The couple purchased the Finley Variety Store and were in business for 31 years. 

Marlys enjoyed working in her flower beds, garden and  baking goodies for her family.  She especially enjoyed the company of grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter, Sandra (Tracy Fisk), Cooperstown, ND; son, Donald (Lupe), Hope, ND, son Jeff (Sherry), Finley, ND; sister, Phyllis Erdmann, West Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1-2 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm Friday, January 10, 2020 in the Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in the Finley Cemetery, Finley, ND.
