MARION RONHOLM

Marion Ronholm, 92, Finley, ND died, Friday, November 15, 2019 in the Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND.  

Marion was born March 2, 1927 in Beaver Creek Township, Steele Co., ND, the daughter of Clarence and Annie (Bjerke) Lyste.  She grew up and attended school in Beaver Creek Township and Hatton ND High School.

She married Vernon Bakken in Sharon ND in 1947 he passed away in 1967.  In 1970 she married Gerhard Ronholm, Finley, ND he passed away in 2015.

Marion raised her children in Linton, ND and Finley, ND. As the wife of Vernon, an electrical lineman, which meant she was often left on a moment’s notice to manage the household.  She active in school and church activities, as well as 4-H and American Legion Auxiliary.  She enjoyed sewing clothes for her children, grandchildren, friends and relatives, bowling and quilting.  After marrying Gerhard, the family moved to his farm.  They lived there until moving into Finley in 2009 where they celebrated their 40^th wedding anniversary in 2010.  In 2015 Marion moved to Mayville, where she was once again neighbors with longtime friend, Barb Gilbertson.  Many new friendships were also made during her time there.  Grandma Marion will be remembered with love for her kindness, patience and never-failing smile.

Marion is survived by her children: Audrey (Steve) Neva, Finley ND; Mylo (Gayle), West Fargo ND; Myron Bakken, Fargo ND; Ardel (Randy) Fugleberg, Hope ND; Rodney (Rachelle) Bakken of Bismarck ND.  Grandchildren: Lisa Midstokke, Lindsey (Brent) Hysjulien, Matthew (Rachael) Neva; Derek Bakken, Mindy (Andy) Dombrovski, Amy (Pat) Cunningham; Jessica Syverson, Carly Schiesser, Geoffrey (Alyssa) Bakken; Nicholas (Stephanie) Fugleberg, Angela (Brett) Sovak, Jeremy (Samantha) Fugleberg; Jordan (Rachel), Joshua (Emily Rapkoch), and Jacob Bakken.  Great Grandchildren: Ryne (Debbi) and Tyler Midstokke (Katelyn Kroeplin), Abigail, Mattea, Hadley and Elleri Hysjulien, Macie, Morgon, Remington and Reese Neva; Alli and Samuel Dombrovski, Kaylee, Lukas and Sophie Cunningham; Natalie Syverson, Maia, Sydney, Owen, Preston and Julia Schiesser; Ryder and Cody Fugleberg, Amelia and Oliver Sovak, Adleigh and Alivia Fugleberg; Rodney P. (Petey) and Beckett Bakken.

Preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Annie (Bjerke) Lyste, husbands; Vernon Bakken, Gerhard Ronholm; infant son, Larry Bakken; infant sisters, Marian and Viola Lyste; brothers; Orlo Lyste, Floyd Lyste, Curtis Lyste; infant brothers, Arvid and Alton Lyste; sisters, Doris Ovrid, Ardis Storebo.

Funeral services will be, Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:30 pm in the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND.  Visitation will be one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Westfield Silent Hill Cemetery, rural Sharon, ND at 3:30 pm.
