K.C. (BUD) HANSON

K. C. Hanson (Bud) 92 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday March 25th 2024, at the Dakota Regional Medical Center, Cooperstown N.D.

K was born October 8th, 1931 at his Grandma Quick's home in Dazey, N.D. He attended school in Dazey until 1944 when his family moved to a farm south of Cooperstown where he attended rural school for 2 years and then Cooperstown High School graduating in 1949. 

After graduation K joined the family farm west of Hannaford milking Guernsey cattle and planting crops with his parents on the Prairie Home Dairy Farm.

K married Carolyn Messer in 1964. they had 3 children Kristen, Kent and Kenley. He was a member of Eidfjord Lutheran Church until it closed in 2012. When he could no longer drive he would listen to Messiah Lutheran Church services on T.V. Eventually K retired from farming after a farm accident. K would go on and work several years at Wal-Mart in Jamestown ND.

K had a very good memory, which made him a wealth of information at family gatherings and visiting with people. He enjoyed going to Guernsey conventions, touring other dairy facilities along with various state fairs and having his Guernsey cattle competing. K was an avid sports fan of the professional teams (Packers, Yankees) and supported the local teams.

K will be sadly missed by his children Kristen, Kent (Racheal), Kenley (Beth), his 2 sisters Marilyn Clark, Queva Morrow, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Neva Quick Hanson, sister Lorna Auren, brother in laws Thor Auren, Charles Jewett,  Delbert Clark, Charles Morrow, nephew Jon Clark, and great nephew Tim Everson.

Visitation will be April 3, 2024 from 10:00 am till 11:00 am in the Faith Lutheran Church, Hannaford, ND followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in the Eidfjord Cemetery, rural Walum, ND at 1:00 pm.
