Kathaleen Hanson, 82, Wimbledon/Fargo ND died Thursday, August 22, 2024 in her home in Fargo, ND. 

Kathaleen Ann (Tombarge) Hanson (Kathie) 82, was born January 24, 1942, in Dazey, ND to William & Gladys (Rondesvedt) Tombarge. She attended school in Dazey and graduated from North Central High School, Rogers, ND in 1960 and continued her education in Fargo.

Kathie and Robert (Bob) Hanson married on October 14th, 1962, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Dazey, ND. They made their home on the Hanson farm of rural Wimbledon, ND where they farmed together for 59 years. They purchased a home in Fargo in 2012 and split their time between Fargo and the family farm. She became ill in 2021 and remained at her Fargo home until her death. She died Thursday, August 22, 2024, peacefully at home.

Kathie was a member of Eidfjord Lutheran Church of rural Walum, ND. Kathie was part of the ladies’ aid, holding various church offices, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was also a member of Wimbledon Country Homemakers Group, and the American Legion Post #149 of Dazey, ND. She worked hard caring for 3 kids, farm finances, many hired men, and even worked along side Bob whenever he needed help on the farm. She enjoyed gardening and cooked and baked for every occasion at the church, community days and barbeques. She was a woman everyone in her life could count on and will truly be missed.

Kathie is survived by her husband of 61 beautiful years Bob Hanson, Fargo, ND son Mark Hanson, Fargo, ND; daughter Kari (Rich) Pavlicek, Casselton, ND; and son Robert (Amanda) Hanson, Wimbledon, ND; five grandchildren Jayden, Kaylee, Oliver, Ethan, and Isabella; her 3 brothers Norbert (Beverly) Tombarge, Kalispell, MT; Kenneth (Jeanne) Tombarge, Monroe, WA, Carl (Pam) Tombarge, Valley City, ND; sisters in law Linda Tombarge, Spokane, WA, and Sheryl (Robert) Treitline, Dickinson, ND; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as some very close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents William & Gladys Tombarge, brothers John (& Arlyss) Tombarge, Clarence Tombarge.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers, Hospice of RRV staff, nurses and Hope Lutheran Church of Fargo for the loving care and assistance they provided over the last few years which made it possible for Kathie to remain at home.

Services will be Friday, August 30, 2024 at 11:00 am in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Dazey, ND. Visitation will be one hour before services. Interment will be in Eidfjord Cemetery, at 1:15 pm rural Walum, ND
