INA MOE
Ina Florence Moe was born May 22, 1919 near Dunn Center, North Dakota to Hulda (Torgerson) and Andrew Skjefte. She had three brothers and five sisters. She was baptized and confirmed at Vang Church rural Dunn Center; attended school in Dunn Center and Werner. At the age of 14, she moved to Steele County, ND with her family.
On April 26, 1941 she was united in marriage to Chester A. Moe near Finley, ND. They farmed in Golden Lake Township, retiring to Finley in 1989. Chester died October 26, 1996.
In 2013 she moved to West Fargo and in 2016 she moved to Bethany Retirement Home in Fargo. She passed away peacefully on February 27, 2020 at the age of 100.
Living on the farm and spending time with her family and friends were some of her favorite things. Throughout her life Ina enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, making lefse, bowling, and shuffle board. She loved reading, playing cards and Scrabble, and working crossword puzzles until the end of her life.
She leaves behind her children Duane R. Moe and Ilene (Dave) Ouradnik; six grandchildren: Carina (Chris) Orcutt, Amy Moe, Jason Moe, Scott (Kelley) Ouradnik, Kyle (Lisa) Ouradnik, and AJ (Heather) Ouradnik, and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister Evelyn Newland and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband Chester, her parents, and seven siblings; Gladys Tromsness, Clarise Skjefte, Hazel Thykeson, Viola Hammond, Arnold Skjefte, Milton Skjefte, and Merlin Skjefte.
