FREDRICK ADRIAN

Fredrick Adrian was surrounded by his family when he went home to meet his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Fredrick Owen Adrian was born in McVille, ND to Elmer and Bernice (Togstad) Adrian. He was raised on the family farm near Binford, ND, attending country school through 8th grade before attending Binford High School. After graduating from Binford High in 1958, Fred started farming and it became his life-long career. He was in the National Guard from 1962-1968.

Fred married Magnhild Berge on June 22, 1968. The couple made their home in rural Binford where they farmed and raised cattle. They were blessed with three children, Stacey, Shawn, and Travis.

Fred was an active member of Bethany Free Lutheran Church of Binford, was on the Bryan Township Board, and enjoyed many reunions with his fellow 1958 classmates. 

Fred and Magnhild were able to spend several winters in Arizona before he passed away. 

Fred semi retired from farming in 2008 when both of his sons came home to farm and ranch. He enjoyed making daily trips to the farm to help with the cattle. He loved helping his sons in the farming operations. 

Fred valued spending time with his family. His love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ was his anchor in life and he passed that love for Jesus on to his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his family. 

Fred is survived by his wife of 54 years, Magnhild, his daughter Stacey (Mike) Berntson, Valley City, ND, his sons - Shawn (Audrey) Adrian, Binford, ND, Travis (Stacy) Adrian, Binford, ND, ten grandchildren - Bethany (Reece) Marsden, April Berntson, Jacob (Rachel) Berntson, James, Alette and Thea Adrian, Carter, Jack, Titus and Faith Adrian, and one great granddaughter, Adelyn Berntson. He is also survived by three sisters - Martha LaPlant, Luci Paulsrud, Addie Reiten, two brothers - Rodney (Barb) Adrian, and David (Pam) Adrian, one sister-in-law, Grace Larson, four brothers-in-law - Don (Eunice) Berge, Kermit (Carolyn) Berge, Arne (Debbie) Berge, Ivar (Becky) Berge and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Fred is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers-in-law - Duane Paulsrud, Dolar LaPlant, Rick Reiten, Vince Larson and one nephew, Jeff Reiten.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 24th at Bethany Free Lutheran Church, Binford, ND from 5:00-7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 am at Bethany Free Lutheran Church, Binford, ND.
