Eric A. Munson

Eric Allen Munson was born August 25, 1946 in Carrington, ND to Edwin and Gladys Munson. He passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer.

Eric dedicated his life to the practice of veterinary medicine. After graduating from veterinary college, he served in the US Army Veterinary Corps, and was stationed in Japan for 3 years. He opened his own clinic in Greendale, WI, where his staff and clients loved him. In fact, he and his coworkers considered themselves a close-knit family.

Eric cared deeply for the well-being of others around him, and never forget where he came from. In recent years, he grew to love small-town living again, and was embraced by the Hatton community. He was honored to become a member of the Hatton American Legion. Eric took pride in drafting plans for a big remodeling project for their home, where he and Pat planned to enjoy their retirement. He loved working outside in the yard and flowerbeds and visiting with the many friends that would stop by. Eric loved classic country music, dancing with Pat, and playing the Jukebox at Bucks’

Eric is survived by his beloved fiancé Pat of 13 years; his children; Noel Munson, Kristen Roberts (Alex), and Keara Armstrong (Brian); his grandchildren; Bennett, Madelyn, Kallen, and Oliver; his siblings; Allan (Karol), Victor, and Mary; and their children; Ryan, Tonya, Eric, Lexie, Nicholas, and Victoria.

A funeral will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Hatton, ND on Saturday, March 15,2025 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held the same day at James River Cemetery.
