ELMER ESLINGER

Elmer Eslinger, 85, Cooperstown, ND died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in the Dakota Regional Medical Center, Cooperstown, ND.

Elmer Eslinger was born November 29, 1938 at Garrison, ND to Lydia and David Eslinger. Elmer attended the Dover School and later served in the US Army from December 1962 to December 1964 where he received his honorable discharge. 

Elmer moved buildings with his brother, Alvin, until he started working for Melroe MFG in Cooperstown, ND.  Elmer married Marcia Stormoe in 1973.  In 1978 Elmer and Marcia moved to Gwinner, ND where Elmer continued working for Melroe (Bobcat) for 10 years.  Later they returned to Cooperstown, ND and he worked for Sheyenne Tooling until his retirement in 2022.  Elmer did maintenance work and also was the projectionist at the Cooper Theater for 27 years. 

Elmer is survived by his wife, Marcia; his son, Dustin (Amber); 2 grandsons, Landon and Rylan Eslinger of Isanti, MN; his brothers, Albert and Bernhardt and by many precious nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Lydia; brothers, Emil, Ruben, Lloyd, Alvin, Arthur and sisters, Leona Severson, Hilda Palm, and Lorraine Burgum.
