DONALD R. JACOBSON

Donald Roy Jacobson, 61, passed away on August 12, 2023 at his home in Hope, ND.  He was born on June 27, 1962, the middle of three children born to Bill and Marlys Jacobson in Bottineau, ND.  After the family moved to Finley, ND, Donald attended and graduated from the Finley-Sharon High School in 1980.  He then attended North Dakota State School of Science and graduated with a degree in parts management.

After college, he worked in the automotive parts field.  He then moved on to have different jobs. He enjoyed watching the Viking football games.  He enjoyed visiting his parents in Finley and would bring his dog Albi with.  Donald loved to joke around and had a great sense of humor.  He could always make us laugh. 

He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his father, Bill Jacobson; daughters Jennifer (Jory) Steinkraus, Jessica Steele and Jaicee Whitmarsh; brother, Jeff (Sherry); sister; Sandra (Sam) Neubauer and many grandchildren and his good friend of many years, Lupe Contreras.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Marlys Jacobson, Grandparents Ted and Clara Jacobson and Conrad and Winnie Johnson.

Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church, Finley, ND.
