CONSTANCE (PETEY) NELSON

Constance Marie  Nelson Skoog

Constance (Petey) Nelson was daughter of Conrad and Martha (Marry) Johnson born March 11, 1933 in Fargo ND. She had four siblings Esther, Patrica, Mickey, and Dexter, all who have passed away.

Constance grew up Luverne, ND went to school there, senior year she moved to Moorhead, MN with parents and graduate Moorhead high school June 1, 1951. She met Henry Nelson and we’re married September 1, 1951.  They moved back to Luverne area to farm and raise 4 children:  Gary, Steven, Timothy and Connie.

Petey was active in all aspects of farm life, plus volunteering, Luverne Church, and school functions.  She maintained a huge garden that supplied fruits and vegetables to feed hungry growing family.

Constance got her heart broke when Henry passed away May 14, 1993.  Constance found courage to love again and Married Donald Skoog who passed away January 9, 2010.   

Constance lived South Fargo after Donald passed away building several friendships and made several one of kind quilts.

Constance is survived by:  Son: Gary (Sherry) granddaughter Nancy (Brandon Mueller) great grandsons Brandt, Brody. Grandson Matt (Natalie) great grandson Gavin Drake.  Son; Steven Grandson Joshua great granddaughter Victoria, great grandsons Joseph, Jonathan, Jackson.  Grandson Jeremiah great granddaughters Aleda, Kadyn, Taylor, Drew Great grandson Levi.  Son; Timothy grandson Vaughan granddaughter Ericka.  Daughter; Connie grandson Phill Stokkeland (Kelsey) great granddaughters Allie Olive. grandson Brian.

Constance (Petey) is preceded in death by parents, siblings, husband Henry Nelson, Husband Donald Skoog, numerous beloved family and friends

Visitation will be Friday, June 30, 2023 from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm in the Luverne Lutheran Church, Luverne, ND.  Interment will be in the Luverne Cemetery.
