Connie Faye (McKay) Ihry

Connie Faye (McKay)Ihry, West Fargo, ND, 79, died in Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND under the care of Hospice of the Trail County with her family at her side, January !8th, 2019

Connie was born December 4th, 1939 in Hope, ND the daughter of Neil and Ethel (Johnson) McKay.  She attended school in Pillsbury, ND and graduated from Pillsbury High School.  She attended Valley City State for 1 year.

On February 13th 1961 she married Robert W. Ihry in Hope ND; they had three children, Robin Lee, Heidi Marie, and Mark William. Bob and Connie moved to Fargo, ND in 1984.

Connie was an original member of the Handy Homemakers Club and enjoyed bowling on leagues in Hope.  She worked at the RDC food Services at NDSU until her retirement; she enjoyed serving the students especially the athletes, as she was a Huge Bison Fan

Connie is survived by her husband, Robert, Mayville ND; daughters, Robin (Ricky) Ihry, Fargo, ND; Heidi Ihry Fargo, ND; Grandsons  Richard (Jade) Ihry, Fertile MN, Robert Ihry, Fargo, ND and two great grandchildren Evelyn and William Ihry; In-laws Margaret (Fugelstad) Gunderson, Mayville, ND; Iris Ihry, Fargo, ND and Reed Washburn, Hope, ND

She is preceded in death by her son Mark William (1984), her parents Neil and Ethel McKay; Sisters Donna Norman; Judy McKay; Jackie Washburn

Visitation will Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at from 2:00 pm till 3:00 pm in St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope, ND followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.  Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery, Hope, ND.
