Cody Johnson

Cody Johnson, 27, Grand Forks ND, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1997, to Thomas and Michelle Johnson.

Cody was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend who brought joy and laughter to those around him. He had a kind heart, a generous spirit, and a deep love for his friends and family. His siblings, Dylan and Amanda, were not only his family but also his friends, and he cherished the bond they shared.

Cody grew up in Cooperstown, ND and went to school at Griggs County Central graduating in the class of 2016. He then went on to college at the University of North Dakota where he was in the last semester of his mechanical engineering degree. While at college, Cody had many intern opportunities including working for Bobcat in Bismarck, Bobcat in Gwinner, and Sheyenne Tooling in Cooperstown. He also loved working at Rhombus Guys and cherished the memories and friendships he made in the workplace.

Cody was fascinated by anything mechanical and figuring out how things worked, He had a creative mind and was skilled at using technology to make his ideas come to life. He loved his 3D printer and enjoyed creating things that could make life easier. He was always thinking about his friends and what he could create for them.

Cody had a passion for shooting trap and skeet, collecting antique motorcycles, archery, golfing, broom ball, karaoke, playing guitar, and playing games with his friends. He loved it when he got to spend time outside fishing or sitting around a firepit talking with his friends.

Cody's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will never be forgotten.

Cody is survived by his parents, Tom and Michelle Johnson, Sibley, ND, brother Dylan Johnson, Wahpeton, ND sister Amanda Johnson, Grand Forks, ND, Grandmother Barbara Johnson, Grand Forks, ND and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends.

Memorial Service will be, Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:30 am in the Corner Stone Church, Cooperstown, ND.
