ARLEN SORVIK

Arlene H. Sorvik, 92, Fargo, ND, died February 26, 2019 at Rosewood On Broadway, a nursing home in Fargo ND.

Arlene Sorvik was born July 3, 1926 in Cooperstown, ND.  The daughter of Oscar and Ellen Kopperud.

Arlene married Paul J. Sorvik from Cooperstown ND on April 18th. 1947. They lived in Fargo, ND most of their life together.

Arlene worked many jobs in retail.  She was a retail manager and won the Business Woman of the year Award in the late 80's. She loved her job and gave it her all.  She met and made many friends during her career that will last forever.

Arlene loved the holidays, especially Christmas.  She made her family and friends feel extra special on those days with many greeting cards and she loved having festive gatherings for family and friends.  She kept us connected because of her beautiful heart and outgoing love. Her sense of humor was unlike anybody else, she made us laugh even if we didn't know what we were laughing about. She loved music, singing and dancing. She loved Elvis and her favorite hymn was Amazing Grace. She will be so deeply missed.

Arlene is survived by her children, Tom (Becky) Sorvik of West Fargo ND. Dianne (Gordon) Bittner of Anchorage, AK; three grandchildren, Andy Sorvik, Tonya Brewer and Troy Bittner.  One greatgrandchild, Chloe Brewer; two sisters, Gladys Ostenson and Vivian Wuflestad; 8 Nephews and 10 Nieces.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Parents, Sisters, Ann Willis, Edna Wajick, Brothers, Robert Kopperud and Ernie Kopperud.

A special thank you to the wonderful loving staff at Rosewood on Broadway and Hospice for the awesome care they gave to Arlene.  They brought several years of a better life for her and peace of mind for her family.
