ALDEN WALEN

Alden Walen, 73, Sutton, ND died Monday, December 23, 2024 in his home, rural Sutton, ND.  

Alden Lynn Walen was born on May 18,1951 to Andy & Gladys Walen, Glenfield, ND

 He attended school in Glenfield, ND graduating in the Class of 1969. 

 Alden received a degree in Diesel Mechanics in 1971 from NDSC in Wahpeton, ND.

 He joined the Army National Guard, 141 Engineers Co. in Carrington, ND. Spent 13 years in Motor Pool. Discharged as Motor Sargent.

 Worked on the family farm raising cattle, horses, sheep, and grain crops.

 Alden played High School football with ?? Touchdowns. 

 Alden enjoyed years of playing on Men’s and Mixed Doubles Bowling Leagues, Darts, Fishing, Hunting, Woodworking, Winemaking & Gardening. He was famous for his smoked pheasant.

 Alden is survived by his 3 children: Tara Jean Walen, Jessica Lynn Jacobson (Curt), and Andrew Everett Aarestad Walen

 Grandchildren: 

Tenley Ann, McKenna Mae and Layne Curt Jacobson

 Alden’s parents Andrew Helmer & Gladys Gloria (Hoyt) Walen and brother Gary Andrew Walen proceeded him in death.

 There will be a private family services held at a later date.
