ARDELLE N. HANSON Ardelle Hanson, 82 of East Grand Forks, MN, formerly of Finley, ND, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 in the Edgewood Vista Nursing Home in East Grand Forks, MN. Ardelle N. Schwartz was born November, 30, 1927 in Finley Twsp. Steele Co., ND the daughter of John and Bessie (Olson) Schwartz. She grew up and attended school in Finley, ND and graduated from Finley High School in 1945. She received her teaching degree from Mayville State College. Ardelle taught school in Primrose, Twsp., Northwood, ND and Oakley, MN. She married Verne Hanson, June 28, 1953 in Finley, ND. The couple made their home in Finley, ND. Verne died July 30, 1995. Ardelle moved to the Grand Forks area for health reason and to be closer to her sons. Ardelle enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, and traveling with her husband. Their last big trip was to Alaska in the RV, which they really enjoyed. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Hanson, Baxter, MN; three sons, Greg (Stella) Hanson, Grand Forks, ND, Rick (Laura) Hanson, Duluth, MN, Larry (Susan) Hanson, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren, Grant, Logan, Garret, Natalie, Ryan, Connor Austin; two sister, Doris Christianson, Oakes, ND, Bernice ( Al) Cepak Spearfish, SD: Sisters-in-law, Betty Schwartz, Grand Forks, ND and Susan Hanson, Spring Valley, WI. Preceded in death by her husband , Verne; parents, Jack and Bessie, two brothers, John B. Schwartz and Kenneth Schwartz; sister, Eleanor Shogren; brothers-in-law, Morris Shorgren, Albert Cepak, Herbert Christianson and sister-in-law, Joanne Schwartz. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Finley Lutheran Church in Finley, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Finley, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Finley Cemetery.
