LENORE PAINTNER Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm in St. George Catholic Church in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and will continue one hour prior to services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND. Interment will be in the St. George Catholic Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND. Lenore Paintner, 91, of Fargo, ND formerly of Hannaford, ND, was born August 4, 1918 in Cooperstown, ND the daughter of Fredrick and Martha (Armstrong) Detwiller. She grew up and attended school in Cooperstown and graduated from Cooperstown High School in 1935. She worked in an office in Cooperstown and later moved to Fargo where she worked as a caregiver. She returned to Cooperstown where she was a caregiver for the Almklov Family. Lenore married William Paintner June 29, 1938 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND. The couple farmed and lived on a farm near Hannaford, ND until 2003 when they made their home at Riverview Place in Fargo, ND. They wintered in Mesa, AZ for thirty years. In January of 2007, the couple moved to the Villa Maria in Fargo. William passed away August 13, 2007; Lenore continued to make her home there and passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010. She was active in her Church Circle, Homemakers, TOPS, Birthday Club, did ceramics, loved to crochet, making an afghan for each grandchild. She was Band Mother and loved to read. She had a huge garden and her life centered around her family. She is survived by one daughter, Barb (Terry) Walsh, Fargo, ND; four sons, Wayne (Bobby) Paintner, Sundance, WY; Tom (Sharon) Paintner, Carrington, ND; Leo Paintner, Hillsboro, ND; Jerome (Deb) Paintner, Mayville, ND; nineteen grandchildren, Keith Walsh, Nancy Walsh, Brian Walsh, Kara Paintner, Krista Paintner-Rudolph, Karla Weng, Scott Paintner, Aaron Paintner, Heather Lage, Jared Paintner, Justin Paintner, Zachary Paintner, Greg Paintner, Cole Paintner, Jesse Paintner, Monica Paintner, Melissa Paintner, Ashley Paintner, Caren Paintner and twenty- two great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick and Martha, husband William, and one great grandson, Will Lage.
