DOUGLAS G. DAHL Douglas G. Dahl Sr., 93, Cooperstown, ND, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Douglas was born April 11, 1923 in rural Cooperstown, ND, the son of John and Myrtle (Hagle) Dahl. He grew up near Hannaford, ND. He attended Clearfield and Bartley Schools and worked on the family farm. At the age of 22, Doug joined the Army and served in the Philippine Islands as a Medic. He married June Gunderson on July 16, 1947. Over the years Doug worked for Cussons Seed House, Farmer’s Elevator, Reiten Inc. and Right-A-Way Applicators. He enjoyed wood working, drawing, cars, going for drives and his dog, Ginger. Doug is survived by a son, Douglas (Linda) Dahl, Horace, ND; daughters, Jennifer Weeks, Missoula, MT, Jackie (Josh) Sherlock, Cooperstown, ND; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his wife, June; infant son and grandson; daughter, Janel; son, Dwight; granddaughter, Nevada; Parents, John and Myrtle; 3 brothers, Quentin, Alvin and Morris; and 2 sisters, Moralen (Ginger) and Gladys. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
