Neil Fisher, 70, of Cooperstown, North Dakota, died at his home on June 13, 2016. Neil was born on January 6, 1946, in Bemidji, MN to Walter and Merle (Craft) Fisher. He lived in Pinewood and Aure, then in 1954 he moved with his family to Solway, MN. He graduated in 1964 from Bemidji High School. Neil served in the U.S. Army 1965-1967, and was stationed in Germany. After discharge, he moved to Cooperstown, ND, where he met Carolyn Ledbury and they were married on June 1, 1968. They had two daughters, Cara and Darce. Neil and Carolyn owned and operated the Dairy Dream and later on the Pit Stop Bar. Neil retired from Sheyenne Tooling on January 6, 2008. Neil enjoyed his family very much, especially his grandchildren. He loved playing cards, feeding his birds and squirrels, shooting his cross bow, playing Words With Friends on his phone, taking trips on his trike, and solving cryptoquip puzzles with help from his friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Cara Jorgensen (John Schmitt) of Valley City, ND, and Darce Holcomb (Shawn) of Cooperstown, ND; two precious grandchildren, Sadie Mae Schmitt and Killian Neil Holcomb; two sisters, Laureen Lawyer (Marvin) and LaMae Ritchie (Jim) both of Bemidji, MN; one brother, Russell Fisher (Janel) of Solway, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister LouAnn Solberg, and nephew Wade Solberg. Neil will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Oh, jeepers, yah. A Memorial Service will be held at Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home on Saturday July 2, 2016, at 2:00 P.M.
