HARLAN A. URNESS Harlan A. Urness, 87, Cooperstown, ND, passed away June 6, 2016 in his home. Harlan was born December 27, 1928 in Cooperstown, ND, the son of Andrew and Clara (Wahl) Urness. He grew up and attended rural school near Cooperstown and graduated from Cooperstown High School. He began farming with his dad northwest of Cooperstown. He farmed his entire life in the area. Upon retirement, he moved in to Cooperstown. Harlan enjoyed fishing, playing cards, wood carving, reading, and playing music, as he would often go up to the Nursing Home and entertain the residents. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Earl Palmer, Sharon, ND; nieces and nephews, Marlene Brooberg, Yuma, AZ, Janine Saxerud, Fargo, ND, Kevin Palmer, CA, Keith (Shari) Palmer, Sharon, ND; great nieces and nephews, Tyler Brooberg, Yuma, AZ, Meredith Brooberg, Round Rock, TX, Kendra (Jacob) Maurer, Manhattan, KS, Brian Saxerud, Fargo, ND, Brady Palmer, Finley, ND, Shawn Palmer, Sharon, ND and Taylor Palmer, Hatton, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Clara; and his sister, Beverly Palmer. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10:30 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND and one hour prior to services in the Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be held at the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
