RACHEL LEE TANDE

Rachel Lee Tande, 35, Binford, ND, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 near Binford, ND. Rachel was born December 4, 1980, the daughter of Barbara Tande and Dale Rickford in McVille, ND. She grew up in Binford and attended school and graduated from Midkota High School. She lived most of her life in Binford except for a few years in Cooperstown, ND or the Cooperstown area. Rachel worked at the Griggs County Hospital/Nursing Home as a CNA and Cook. She also worked in the Nelson County Nursing Home as a CNA. Rachel enjoyed being with friends, family and her babies (her Cocker Spaniels), Duke and Duchess. If she had the room and money, she would have taken in any stray animal, including a baby skunk. She was very crafty, collected Gone with the Wind dolls and other items. She and her friend, Melanie, started a Barbie Doll business called M & R Creations. She loved to draw, color, sew and build doll rooms in old dressers. She is survived by, her mother, Barbara Tande, Binford, ND; father and step-mother, Dale and Deb Rickford, Moorhead, MN; grandparents, Leona Tande, Binford, ND, and Reynold and Patricia Rickford, Jessie, ND; sisters, Elizabeth Mann, Casselton, ND, Amy Packer, Moorhead, MN; brother, Dylan Rickford, Moorhead, MN; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Shelby, Tiahna and Elijah Mann, Casselton, ND; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bernard Tande; maternal and paternal great grandparents; special uncle, Harlan Midstokke; and uncle, Jacob Henry. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, ND. Visitation will be held Friday, June, 3, 2016 from 5:00 till 7:00 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, ND, and one hour prior to services in the Church, Binford, ND. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Binford, ND. Interment will be in the West Prairie Cemetery, rural Binford, ND.
