CAROL JEAN LOVEJOY

CAROL J. LOVEJOY Carol Lovejoy, 65 of Finley, ND passed away Wednesday May 4th at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo. Carol was born on March 8, 1951 in Cooperstown, ND to Henry and Levina (Hoggarth) Jungels. She graduated from Finley High School and later attended North Dakota State College of Science. She married Ardell Lovejoy on March 31st, 1978. Carol was a favorite to many students at Finley-Sharon Public School where she worked as a cook until she retired in 2007. Carol was someone who made you feel at home when you came to visit. Whether it be a delicious pan of bars or some of her famous cookies, sitting down to chat and having coffee was a memorable experience. Carol also took an interest in gardening. She was always there to offer tips on growing tomatoes or could be seen out in her flower beds making her yard a bright and cheery oasis. She was also a proud member of the Peterson-Olson Auxiliary and the Finley Lutheran Church. Carol is survived by her husband Ardell, daughters Carlye Lovejoy of Finley and Sadie (Jon) Koehmstedt of Grafton, and granddaughter Harper Koehmstedt of Grafton. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: John Jungels, Darnell Jungels and sister Diane Smith. Funeral services will be Tuesday May 10th 10:30am at Finley Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
