Richard Carl Simpson

Richard Carl Simpson, 59, Finley, ND died Monday, May 2, 2016 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND, surrounded by his family and friends. Dick was born in Bremerton, WA on June 29, 1956, the son of James and Dorothy Simpson. Dick grew up in the Port Orchard, WA area and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1974. On August 21, 1988, he married Ranee Bitz. They made their home in Finley, ND. Dick spent most of his life as a construction supervisor. His grandkids were his pride and joy. Richard is survived by his wife, Ranee; son, Jason (Jasmine) LaPolla, Bremerton, WA; daughter, Amber Simpson, Finley, ND; daughter, Jessica Simpson, Moorhead, MN; son James Simpson, Arthur, ND; grandchildren, Ayden, Maxford and Arianna Hahn and Charlotte Ranee Young; step grandchildren, Zepplin, Timothy and Randi Young; two sisters, Wanda (Dick) Rollman, WA, Opeal Bame, WY; brother, John (Lynne) Simpson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Jim Irish; infant brother, James Calvin Simpson; and sister Lark Vincet. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7 at 11:00 am at the Finley-Sharon Football Stadium.
