JANE E. HAERTER Jane Elizabeth Haerter, 60, died Friday afternoon, April 22nd, 2016, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND with family surrounding her. She was born August 29th, 1955 in Madison, WI. Jane grew up in San Diego, CA with her parents, Donald and Phyllis Evers, her brother Jeff, and her sister Julia. Jane graduated from San Diego High School and later graduated from San Diego State University. Jane met David Haerter while he was stationed in San Diego, CA and they got married June 13th, 1981. In 1984 they gave birth to their first son, David II. They lived in 29 Palms, CA where Jane gave birth to twins, Johanna and Gerrit Haerter. While in 29 Palms she was very active in the Officers' Wives club that focused on Philanthropic. They left California and moved to North Dakota, eventually settling in West Fargo, ND. Jane started working at Red Lobster where she worked for a number of years and met many close friends. Jane then started working at Cass County Courts where she worked as a Guardian ad litem. Jane is preceded in death by her father, Donald Evers, and her grandparents, Cynthia & Derwin Huenink and Chester & Henrique Evers. Jane is survived by her parents, Richard and Phyllis Kaylor, San Diego, CA; her husband David, West Fargo, ND; Her three children David Haerter II, Fargo, ND; Johanna Haerter, West Fargo, ND; Gerrit (Tori) Haerter, Beaverton, OR; and her siblings, Jeff (Karen) Evers, Lakeside, CA and Julia Evers, California; as well as four wonderful stepsiblings: Sherrie Urzedowski, Teri McLean, Sue Lung, and Jim Kaylor. Jane loved to travel and often made it a priority to travel to San Diego to see her family and friends. Jane also enjoyed watching sports, especially when her children were playing. Jane was always happy to visit with friends and family, and loved to spend time with them. Jane loved to laugh, and would find humor in a great many things. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Red River Church, West Fargo, ND. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28 from 6:00 till 7:00 in the West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND and one hour prior to services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm at the Saron Cemetery rural Cooperstown on Friday, April 29, 2016.
