LILLIAN P. OVERBY

Lillian was born November 5, 1925 in Binford, ND, the daughter of Lars and Laura (Peterson) Omdal. She grew up and attended school there. After Lillian finished school she worked at the JC Penney store in Jamestown, ND. She married Roy Overby on March 6, 1948 in Valley City, ND. They farmed for one year and then moved into Binford where Roy worked as an electrician. They moved to Fargo in 1951. Lillian and Roy had meetings at their home in Fargo for many years. In the early 1980’s, they moved to a condominium in Fargo. They enjoyed traveling to see their children and grandchildren in North Dakota, Texas and California. They moved to Bismarck in 1999. Lillian moved to Cooperstown, ND in 2013. She passed away March 30, 2016 in the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND. Lillian is survived by 4 children; Wayne (Dawn) Overby, Montgomery, Tx, Karen (Larry) Nelson, Bismarck, ND, Keith (Lorna) Overby, San Jose, CA, Mary Kay (Gaylord) Modin, Santa Clara, CA; brother, Cliff Omdal, Cooperstown, ND; 3 sisters, Florence (Ray) Bruer, AZ, Myrtle (Gordon) Overby, Binford, ND, Alma Overby, Cooperstown, ND; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; infant son; and brother Marvin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home Chapel and one hour before services. Interment will be in the Binford Cemetery, Binford, ND.
