Melvin Larson Melvin Larson, 95, Fargo ND died December 29, 2015. Melvin was born October 7, 1920 to Guri and Tom Larson, Binford ND. He married Olga (Storkson) August 16, 1941 and celebrated 64 years together. They had two sons, Dennis and James. They resided in Cooperstown and Fargo. He was a member of the Olivet Church and very active in the Sons of Norway Lodge where he rolled lefse and made his award-winning Kumla. He enjoyed gardening (especially growing roses), fishing, and sports on TV. He is survived by his son Dennis (Diane), Sun Lakes AZ; daughter-in-law Beverly Masini, Olympia WA. Grandchildren: Lori (John) Grommesh, Casselton ND, Greg (Shelby) Larson, Castle Rock CO, Sue (Eric) Selle, Littleton CO, Matthew (Kristen) Larson, Spokane Valley WA, and Randall (Danielle) Larson, Santa Clarita CA. Great-grandchildren: Michael (Kelsey) Grommesh, Julie Grommesh, Mikayla and Madelyn Larson, Brayden and Collin Selle, Emma, Ian, and Kate Larson, and Jessica Whitener. Great-great-grandchildren: Lucas and Elijah McCroskey and Titus Grommesh. Sisters: Vivian Avdem and Gladys (Irving) Marquart. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son, and three grandchildren, Julie and Daniel Larson and Christyn Grommesh. The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 5, 11:00 A.M. at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo ND.
