ROYCE KROEPLIN Royce Kroeplin 69, Finley, ND passed away peacefully Thursday, October 22, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Royce was born April 26, 1946 to Edwin and Lavoan (Volker) Kroeplin. He grew up in Hope, ND and graduated from High School in 1964. He attended Mayville College for a short time and then entered the US Air Force. He married Diane Shogren July 30, 1971. The couple resided in Fargo, ND. He was employed at Quality Meats for 35 years retiring in 2005. They then moved to their home at Golden Lake, Hatton, ND to spend summer months and then started enjoying winters in Apache Junction, AZ. In 2012 they purchased his parents farmstead, just outside of Finley. He loved being able to up-date the house and work in the huge yard. His father’s wishes were to have to have the Kroeplin name on the mail box and he fulfilled that. Even though he only had it for a short time to live there he loved it and was proud to own it. Royce always liked to keep busy and after retirement worked alongside his brother Marlen and nephew Paul at PK Construction. He enjoyed golfing, activities in the Park in AZ, playing cards and traveling. He loved to help people and many can attest to that. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Diane of 44 years; father, Edwin Kroeplin; sister, Donna Kroeplin, Susan (Keith) Flaten, brothers, Marlen (Debbie) Kroeplin, Kenneth (Sharon) Kroeplin, Keven Kroeplin; sisters-in-law, Delores (Mike) Kvislen, Peggy (Dale) Good; God -Children, Chad Good, Brenda Erickson, Sandra Kroeplin-Lilleoien, Tyler Christianson; 21 nieces and nephews and 39 great nieces and nephews. Royce was preceded in death by his mother, Lavoan; step mother, Wanita Kroeplin; brother, Wayne; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Morris and Eleanor Shogren, sister-in-law, Jeannie Shogren. Funeral services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be at 7:00 pm Sunday in the Church. Interment will be in the Finley Cemetery, Finley, ND.
