ARDIS MARY IHRY Ardis Mary Ihry, 84, Hope, ND died, Sunday, September 13, 2015 in Sanford Health in Mayville, ND. Ardis Mary McCullough was born January 19, 1931 to Joseph and Ethel (Smalley) McCullough. I had eight siblings. I grew up in Hope, ND and graduated from Hope High School in 1949. I married Adolph Ihry, August 3, 1949 in Hope ND. To our union, were born eleven children, we raised nine: Gary, Joseph (deceased) Mary (deceased), Connie, Wade, Reed, Neal ‘Buck’, Lori, Mary Ann, Dale and Keith. I was a very busy wife and Mom. I was also a member of St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Valley City Eagles Club, Homemakers, Birthday Club, VFW Auxiliary, Ladies Aid, Whist, Senior Citizens and the Crop Tour “Queens”. I loved singing, playing piano, bowling, dancing, playing cards, especially cribbage, and socializing making a friend of every stranger I met. Adolph and I traveled to Mesa AZ starting the mid-1980s where we enjoyed many activities, social connections, and FUN! Our AZ friends and family grew every year and we loved them equally. I am survived by nine children; Gary (Mary) Ihry, Hope, ND, Connie (Woody) Caspers, Battle Lake, MN, Wade (Marilyn) Ihry, Hope, ND, Reed (Michelle) Ihry, West Fargo, ND, Buck Ihry, Finley, ND, Lori (Tim) Powell, Hope, ND, Mary Ann (Rod) Ihry-Eshenko, Minot, ND, Dale, (Brenda) Ihry, Fargo, ND and Keith (Brenda) Ihry, Hope, ND, twenty four grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; sisters, JoAnn Oelke, Moorhead, MN, Shirley (Rupert) Aman, Moorhead, MN. I am also survived by a special “Angel”, Janice Eberle, who was a “gift from GOD” starting in July of 2015 and who was with me through all the trials and tribulations. I was preceded in death by my parents; husband, Adoplh; twin son and daughter, Joseph and Mary; brothers, Charles, Everett, Glen, Milton (Mic); sisters, Marlys Richardson, Jean Sampson. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, September 18, 2015 in St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 5:00 till 7:00 in St Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the Church. Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to go the Hope Cemetery or St. Agatha's Elevator Fund.
