WAYNE CHARLES SANDVIK Wayne Charles Sandvik, 59, died Wednesday, August 06, 2014 in the Veterans Hospital in Fargo, ND under hospice care. He was surrounded by family and friends who have loved him, supported him and laughed and cried with him. Wayne was born May 22, 1955 in Cooperstown, ND to Arne and Lorraine Sandvik. He attended school in Cooperstown, ND and graduated in 1973. Wayne served three years in the United States Army. HE spent time in Germany and Colorado. Wayne loved to crank those wrenches. From the time he was young he would follow and watch his Dad. He attended North Dakota School of Science for diesel mechanics and graduated in 1983. He especially enjoyed his 1974 Z28 Camaro and 750 Honda. He also liked deer, pheasant, geese hunting and fishing. Wayne will be remembered for his kind and caring heart. He loved hanging out with family and friends and was good at remembering stories and telling them. If he could get a smile or laugh out of you he would. His sense of humor and laughter will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by his parents, Arne and Lorraine Sandvik. He is survived by five sisters and three brothers, Diane (Arne) Haaland, Frazee, MN, Janice (Frank) Fritel, Devils Lake, ND, Linda (Magnus) Haaland, Cooperstown, ND, Lois (Rodney) Wiseman, Aneta, ND, Carol Sandvik, Fairmont, MN, Allan Sandvik, West Fargo, ND, Neil (Vicki) Sandvik, Wichita, KS, Kenneth (Randi) Sandvik, Cooperstown, ND. He has 28 nieces and nephews and 43 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:30 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be, Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 pm in Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND
