PHILLIP D. ZERFACE

PHILLIP D. ZERFACE Phillip D. Zerface, 79, Hope, ND died Monday, July 14, 2014 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Phillip D. Zerface was born November, 30, 1934 on the family farm near Tower City, ND, the son of Sidney and Isabelle (Senn) Zerface. He grew up and attended country school and attended Page School. He began farming in the Hope area as a young man. He married Louise Lee June 23, 1954 in Finley, ND. The couple made their home in the Hope and Page area where they farmed their entire married life. After retiring from farming the couple made their home in Hope where Phillip worked part time for Hope Cenex and worked on the mowers for the Hope Cemetery. Phillip enjoyed FISHING, hunting, gardening, playing with his grand and great grandchildren and was a handyman around the farm. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Louise, Hope, ND; daughters, Mary (Ron) Mehus, Waconia, MN, Karen (Russell) Anderson, Plato, MN; daughter-in-law, Barb Zerface; Grandchildren, Rachael (Ben) Hiam, Ryan (Kari) Zerface, Ashley (Tyler) Braaten, Kymberly Mehus, Kristina Mehus, Jessica (John) Vogt; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Baasch, Valley City, ND; brothers, Charles, Bremen, OH, Jim, Tower City, ND and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Roger and Steven, siblings, Harold, Glenn, Lester, Alice Maine. Funeral services will be, Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Hope Legion, Hope, ND. Visitation will be, Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Legion Hall. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 in the Legion Hall. Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery, Hope, ND.
