EVERETT L. WILLIAMS Everett L. Williams, 87, Wimbledon, ND died Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND. Everett was born March 29, 1926 near Hannaford, ND the son of Edward and Agnes (Krokum) Williams. He was baptized and confirmed in the Eidfjord Lutheran Church. He grew up and attended rural school in Dover and Bartley, Twsp. schools in the Hannaford, Walum and Wimbledon, ND area. Everett made his home on the family farm where he farmed and raised cattle. He moved to Wimbledon in 2001 and then to Bridgeview assisted living in 2011 and October of 2012 to Sheyenne Care Center. Everett was very active in the Eidfjord Church, handing out programs every Sunday, serving on the cemetery board, mowing the cemetery and being the Bell Toller. He was on the Township Board for many years, Board of directors for the Wimbledon Museum and helping at the Wimbledon Senior Citizens. Everett was an avid reader, card player, playing whist and canasta, going to parades and visiting friends and relatives in Canada, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Montana. Everett liked to tinker, making picture frames, doing decoupage, photography and turning dump rake seats into lawn chairs. He is survived by two sisters; Lorraine Bultema, Valley City, ND, Yvonne (Clayton) Anderson, Portland, ND; brother, Vernon (Shirley) Fargo, ND and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Mae. Funeral services will be, Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walum, ND. Visitation will be Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2:00 till 4:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in Eidfjord Cemetery, in the spring of 2014.
