NORMA JEAN ZENTZ Norma Jean Zentz, 85, Cooperstown, ND, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Norma Jean Butler was born November 1, 1928 in Sebetha,, KS the daughter of Fred and Nettie Mae (Patrick) Butler. She grew up in Kansas and Nebraska graduating for Hasting, NE High School. She married Lester Zentz July 4, 1947 in Formoso, KS. The couple lived various places as Lester worked for a R.E.A. They moved to the Cooperstown area and the couple farmed for six years. Norma Jean worked for the Cooperstown Medical Center in House Keeping for many years. Lester died September 3, 2003. Norma Jean continued to make her home in Cooperstown, ND. Norma Jean enjoyed; her family and friends, watching game shows, reading and fishing. She is survived by five daughters, Judy (Doug) Tufte, Audubon, MN, Phyllis (Duane) Tufte, Federal Way, WA, Janet (Charles) Cadwell, River Falls, WI, Donna (Perry) Rickford, Cooperstown, ND, daughter, Dianne (Jeff) McCully, Federal Way, WA; two brothers, Karl (Grace) Butler, Jerry (Judy) Butler; sister, Marjorie Larson; sister-in-law, Violet Zentz, brother-in-law, Paul Burnham; eight grandchildren, David Tufte, Sheila Tufte, Toby Cadwell, Rodney Cadwell, Scott Cadwell, Tom Tufte, Brent Tufte, Tanya Homiston; seventeen great grandchildren Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; infant son, Leslie; sister, Doris Burnham and brothers, Milford, Phill and Bob. Funeral services will be, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Ottawa Lutheran Church, rural Aneta, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Wednesday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Ottawa Cemetery in the spring.
