RUTH CHRISTIANSON Ruth Christianson, 93, Jamestown, ND formerly of Sutton, ND died Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Eventide Nursing Home in Jamestown, ND. Ruth Auren was born June 19, 1920 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Gilbert and Gunhild (Gilbertson) Auren. She was baptized and confirmed in Minneapolis where she grew up and attended school.-. She married Elmer (Buster) Christianson November 19, 1945 Bethany Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, MN. They moved to Sutton, ND the following spring onto the Kjelson Farm, where they lived for almost 48 years. The couple retired in 1993 and moved to Jamestown, ND. Elmer passed away October 24, 1995. She is survived by; three sons, Gary (RuthAnn), Fargo, ND, Denis, Kingman, AZ,, Richard (Geri) Jamestown, ND; two daughters, Karen (Chuck) Anderson, Streeter, ND, Judy (Jim) Anderson, Sutton, ND; four granddaughters, Lisa (James), Fargo, ND, Colette (Scott), ,Carrington, ND, Marcia (Troy), Rapid City, SD, Kari (Kevin) Milnor, ND; five grandsons, Jason (Cindy) Spiritwood, ND, Scott (Marlen) Fargo, ND, Jesse (Carrie) Jamestown, ND, Brad, Jamestown, ND, Kevin (Melissa),, Blackhawk, SD; eighteen great grandchildren, Paige, Mylee, Ally, Marrisa, Gracie, Piper, Dusty, Nic, Brett, Grady, Brees, Kaiden, Kolter, Kade, Levi, Riley, ,Cooper, Cale; brother, Melvin (Jo), Minneapolis, MN, sister-in-law, Gale (Howard) Hanson, Minneapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elmer, 2 grandsons and a great granddaughter. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Mable Lutheran Church in Sutton, ND. Visitation will be Monday, February 3, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. NO PRAYER SERVICE. Interment will be in the Mable Cemetery, rural Sutton, ND.
