MONICA M. CLEMENS Monica Marie (Jacobson) Clemens, 58, Hannaford, ND, passed away Sunday August 18th 2013 at Nelson County Health System in McVille, ND, surrounded by family after a long battle with PICS disease. Monica was born in Cooperstown, ND, April 19th 1955 to Leona (Jacobson) Clemens. She grew up in the Binford-Hannaford area and graduated from Glenfield HS in 1973. Monica was united in marriage to Robert Clemens on November 4th 1983 at Hastings, MN. They made their home in rural Hannaford on a farmstead where Robert worked for BNSF and Monica worked as a CNA at Jamestown State Hospital and Griggs County Care Center. Monica enjoyed working in her flower gardens, spending a lot of time with her grandchildren, her dog Benji, and entertaining family and friends at their farm. She is survived by son Jeremy (Rhonda) Clemens of Cooperstown, ND, daughter Cindy (Ivan) Oien of Cooperstown, ND, Brother Mahlon Jr. (Jere) Clemens of Cody, WY, Gaylon (Keeta) Clemens of Wolf Pointe, MT, Vicky (Jaronn) Boysun Wolf Pointe, MT, Grandchildren Bryce Clemens, Ivan Oien Jr., Leah Jean Oien. Monica is preceded in death by her Husband Robert Clemens, Grandparents Jake and Gudrin Jacobson, and Mother Leona Clemens. Visitation to be held Friday August 23rd 2013 at Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND from 5pm-7pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral will be held on August 24th 2013 at Eidfjord Church, west of Walum, at 10am, interment to be held following the funeral at Eidfjord Cemetery.
