CHARLES HOWARD PARKMAN Charles “Chuck” Parkman, Hope, ND, passed away August 2, 2013 at Union Hospital, Mayville, ND. He was born April 29, 1930 in Hope, ND to Charles and Helen (Washburn) Parkman. He attended school at Sherbrooke, Finley, and Grand Forks U. He graduated from Howe Military School, Indiana. He married Marlin Nash on August 26, 1951 in Hope, ND. They were married for 61 years. They lived in Bremerton, WA, Great Falls, MT and lived in and farmed near Hope, ND on his family farm. In the sixties Chuck helped build the area missile sites, he was very proud of working part-time as a tour guide for the Ronald Reagan Missile site near Cooperstown, ND. He loved to hunt, fish, play cards, go to auction sales and was a fan of all sports. He was a member of the Sodbuster’s Club and Buffalo Wildlife. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Timothy (Sue), Todd (Terri) all of Hope, Thomas (Sue Davis)Wahpeton, ten grandchildren, Julie (Cory) Teigland, Chas, Jacob, Eric, Cory (Angela), Benjamin (Emma Eaves), Zachary (fiancé Katrina Erickson), Francis, Marla (Jamie) Sailor, Jordan (Sam Franklin), five great-grandchildren Lora, Cody, Brittyn, Scarlett and Shayden. Two brothers, Bruce (Karen) and Scott (Tammy). He was preceded in death by an infant son, sister, Jane and parents. Memorial services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Hope American Legion Hall in Hope, ND.
