MARION OLSON

MARION OLSON MARIAN OLSON, 102, Walum, ND died Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND. Marion was born December 17, 1910 in Griggs County, ND the daughter of Chris and Sophia (Wilson) Johnson. She grew up on a farm near Walum, ND. She married Chester Olson in 1932. The couple farmed in the Walum area. After they retired they moved to Sibley, ND. Chester passed away at the age of 80. Marion continued to make her home in Sibley until moving to the Griggs County Assisted living around 1994 and later because of failing health she became a resident of the Nursing Home. Marion would fly to Virginia to visit her family and Marilyn would come to Cooperstown to visit. Marion is survived by a daughter, Marilyn Olsen, Berryville, VA; two grandsons, Timothy and David Olson, three great grandchildren, Isaac, Rachael and Samuel Olsen. Funeral services will be May 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Walum, ND.
