PATRICIA (PAT) LOUISE HEINZE

PATRICIA L. HEINZE Patricia “Pat” L. Heinze, 62, Cooperstown, ND, died Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Hospital, Cooperstown, ND under the amazing care of the Staff at CMC. Patricia Louise Knapp was born February 15, 1951 in Watkins Glen, NY the daughter of Duane and Grace (Hegland) Knapp. She grew up and attended school in Cooperstown and graduated from Cooperstown High School in 1969. She married Lawrence (Honda) Heinze July 25, 1970 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND. The couple shared their lifelong home in Cooperstown until Honda’s death in October of 2012. Pat worked as a receptionist at the local clinic in Cooperstown and was a long time employee at CMC before illness forced her retirement in 2010. Pat loved her family, friends, and pets. She enjoyed birds, flowers, gardening and working with Ann’s Circle at St. George Catholic Church. Pat and Honda especially enjoyed their years of riding motorcycle. Pat fought a long and brave fight until the end. She was surrounded by her family, special friend and her provider Brian Twete. Pat will be deeply missed by all that knew her and loved her. She is survived by; son, Joseph, Cooperstown, ND; sisters, Joan (Tim) Hagen, Fargo, ND, Kim (Jeff) Edland, Glenfield, ND; brother, Jeff (Sue) Knapp, Wahpeton, ND; sisters-in-law, Lucy Reinhart, Jamestown, ND, Veronica (David) Saxberg, Cooperstown, ND and several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her parents, Duane and Grace; husband, Lawrence; brothers-in-law Orris, Robert and niece Angela. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. George Catholic Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Church and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 7:00 in the Church. Interment will be in the St. George Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND in the spring.
