LESTER ZERFACE Lester Elmer Zerface, 85, Hope, ND died Friday, March 8, 2013 in the Hillsboro Care Center, Hillsboro, ND. Lester was born May 12, 1927 in Pelican Rapids, MN the son of Sid and Isabelle (Senn) Zerface. Lester married Olive Langager June 16, 1949 in Hope, ND. Lester was involved in agriculture his whole life. He and Olive were the sunflower farmers of the year in 1972, winning a boat trip down the Mississippi River. Lester served on the Hope Public School Board, Carpenter Township Board, United Methodist and United Church of Hope, Boards and the Griggs-Steele County Farmers Home Committee. Lester is survived by his wife of 64 years, Olive, Hillsboro, ND; daughter, Peggy, Fargo, ND; sons, Harold and Becky, Hope, ND, Keith and Jan, Valley City, ND, Curtis and Julie, Hillsboro, ND, Rodney and Vanessa Fargo, ND; Grandchildren, Travis, Kyle, Karra, Nathan, Derek, Megan, Brian, Mari, Isaiah, Lindsay, Eric; Great grandchildren, Tran, Tiara, Tate, Owen, Raegen, Hudson, Norah and Abigail; Sister, Lorraine Baasch, Page, ND; brothers, Charles, Ohio, Phil and Louise, Hope, ND, Jim, Tower City, ND. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Harold, Glenn; sisters, Alice Maine, nephews, Steven, Roger, Terry and niece Rhonda. Funeral services will be, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Hope, ND. Visitation will be Monday, March 11, 2013 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Church and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Monday at 7:00 in the Church.
