ERNESTINE PAULSEN Ernestine Paulsen, 86 of Hannaford, ND, passed away, Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her home under the care of Hospice. Ernestine was born August 2, 1926 in Fargo, ND the daughter of George and Aasta (Grundfor) Grady. She grew up in Hendrum, MN and graduated from Hendrum High School in 1944. She attended IBC and Western Union Telegraphy School. She worked for the Western Union in Fargo, Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis. On February 18, 1950 she married Alan Peterson in Moorhead, MN. They lived in Miles City, MT where she worked for J.C. Penny’s, in Minneapolis and Fargo, where she worked for Sears. They were divorced. On December 27, 1958 she married Elgar Paulsen in Moorhead and moved to the Hannaford, ND area. She worked for the Griggs County ASCS for 28 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, church council, church treasurer, American Legion Auxiliary, serving all offices and now a life member. She is survived by her husband, Elgar, Hannaford, ND; son Scott (Dorry) Peterson, Hazen, ND; brother, George (Shirlee) Grady, Alexandria, MN; sister, Sonia (Wallace) Wateland, Moorhead, MN; four grandsons and four great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2:30 pm in the Faith Lutheran Church, Hannaford, ND.
