CAROLYN FISHER Carolyn Fisher, 67, Cooperstown, ND, died peacefully at her home on February 13, 2013, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn was born May 23, 1945, in Davenport, Iowa, to William and Fern(Yeager) Ledbury. In 1945, her family moved to Dazey, North Dakota, where Carolyn made wonderful, life-long friends. In 1957 the family moved to Cooperstown, North Dakota. She married Neil Fisher on June 1, 1968. Carolyn worked as a nurse's aid at the Cooperstown Hospital and nursing home for more than 20 years where she was especially good at and enjoyed working with the elderly. Following that, she and Neil owned and operated the Dairy Dream and later the Pit Stop Bar which Carolyn managed for several years, retiring in 1996. Carolyn loved her family and her friends and will be greatly missed for her caring ways and her wonderful sense of humor. She is survived by her husband Neil and their two daughters Darce Holcomb (Shawn) of Fairbanks, AK, and Cara Jorgensen of Valley City, ND, her precious granddaughter Sadie, sister Sharon Johnson (Robert) of Bloomington, MN, her uncle Ed Yeager of Fargo, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marilyn Rockenberg and Billie Tolstad The funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cooperstown on Monday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m.
